Summary

Based on the teardown the repairability of the iPhone 8 seems to be moderate. While some components are easily accessible and can be removed without too much difficulty there are also several negative factors that make the repair process more challenging. The use of adhesive for the battery and the need for special tools for disassembly are major drawbacks. Additionally the delicate process of removing the screen and the metal plates over the cable connectors add to the difficulty of repair. Overall I would give the iPhone 8 a score of 6.5 out of 10 for repairability.
