Summary

Based on the teardown the repairability of the Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be moderate. The use of adhesive for the back cover and battery can make it difficult to open and replace these components. However the battery cable and battery are easily accessible which is a positive aspect. The screen cable and screen can also be removed without having to remove too many components making it easier to replace the screen if needed. However the plastic covers covering the boards need to be removed to access the cables which can be time-consuming and add to the difficulty of repair. Overall I would give the repairability of the Samsung Galaxy S8 a score of 7.0 out of 10.
