Summary

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is a relatively repairable device. It requires the use of a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the adhesive on the back plate and then a plastic pry tool to remove it. The glass camera lens covers can be replaced by applying heat and gently prying them off. There are 15 Phillips screws that need to be removed and numerous antenna lines on the borders of the top plastic cover. The battery cable needs to be disconnected as well as two coaxial cables and the front-facing camera cable. The main board can be lifted up and removed and the bottom speaker assembly can be lifted up and removed. The flex cable connecting the main board to the sub board and screen needs to be disconnected as well as the flex cable for the fingerprint sensor. The rubber gasket around the charger port and the primary microphone is located on the sub board. The battery needs to be removed using isopropyl alcohol to loosen the adhesive underneath.
