Summary

Based on the teardown the repairability of the Google Pixel 8a seems to be quite low. The use of strong adhesive for the back cover and battery as well as the need for alcohol to dissolve it make it difficult to access and replace these components. Additionally the need to disassemble multiple components and remove metal plates to replace the screen adds to the complexity of repairs. The fact that the charging port is soldered to the main board also makes it challenging to replace. Overall I would give the repairability of the Google Pixel 8a a score of 4.5 out of 10.
